Homecoming, pt. IRating:
PG/PG13 (language)Summary: Who
doesn’t know Tacey? Actually, she’s kind of the reason we’re here. I mean, we aren’t Homecoming types, if you hadn’t noticed just from the fact that we’re out here by ourselves being all antisocial. She totally dragged us and made us promise to dance at least once. But I think we aren’t going to bother doing it.Word Count:
I think this is the seventh or eighth version of this scene. It's been stewing in my head for a good long while and has changed a lot as I got to know my characters better. I think this is the first time I started with them in the bathroom. Anyway, this may not be the final version, but it's my favorite so far, so enjoy!( Sadie's examining her reflection again.Collapse )
Feedback is much appreciated. I really want to get opinions on this.
Because after I finished Lucas
, I just had to write.Title: A PaperbackRating:
PG13 (swears, references to naughtiness)Summary: The cover was what I liked, initially. I know the whole “You can’t judge a book by its cover” shtick, but I do it anyway most of the time. I’m not as obvious about it as Tacey usually is, and unlike her, I will admit that I do it. Because judging isn’t as bad as people make it out to be, so long as you’re willing to change your mind later. And when it came to this book, well, it was good that I liked the cover. Because nothing would have drawn me to it otherwise. Word Count:
Very little editing. Possibly a little hard to understand. I just really had to get into someone's head, and since my eyes kept drifting towards the D/G pic I drew that's sitting between the keyboard and the printer that totally looks like something Alys would have drawn, she was a logical choice. So. Enjoy, I guess.
Oh, and the first line of the teaser on the back of the book is thanks to mistwanderer
, who responded to my plea for inspiration at lumos_main
. Yay for Lita.( Talking's just a waste of breath, and living's just a waste of deathCollapse )
There'll definitely be a follow-up to this. Because Alys and Seth are going to have a little confrontation. For now, though, enjoy the chaos and colloquialisms, etc. Tried a crazy sort of writing like I talk style for this, because that's what Alys does and she is
writing this, after all.

New one-shot based off Taking Back Sunday's "What's It Feel Like To Be A Ghost?
" Draco-centric, with Luna in a leading role as well. 1466 words and non-shippy, which is refreshing. It was originally supposed to take place in Hogsmeade, but thanks to canon_evidence
, a very helpful community, I discovered that Draco doesn't go to Hogsmeade in HBP, when this takes place, and besides, there aren't any buildings by the Three Broomsticks. So I've transferred it to a courtyard at Hogwarts.
Anyway. Rated G, as far as I know, since I don't think there are any incidences of swearing and there aren't any couples to do naughty things.
So...presenting Are You Up For This?( A permanent reminder that, oh Christ, I have no idea what I'm doingCollapse )
Title from a bit of "What's It Feel Like To Be A Ghost?
" that didn't get incorporated into the story.
And do you think this should be chaptered? Because there's this very long HBP fic I've been wanting to write, and this wound up being something that would fit right into it. Completely by accident, of course, because Are You Up For This?
has everything I wanted to include in it and, IMO, stands well enough on it's own. But if you'd like to read more in this same vein, please tell me so and comment.
Just wrote a bunch based off Taking Back Sunday songs. Fun.
First one, Doll
, was written with Draco/Ginny in mind. You can decide which guy Draco is (the one who broke her or the one whose PoV it is), but the girl is definitely Ginny. Being a D/G shipper, I'd prefer him to be the narrator, but hey, he could very well be the jerk she's not over yet. Anyway. Doll
is based of TBS's "A Decade Under The Influence
." I wrote almost exactly the same thing twice a year ago, but it was never quite good enough. Since it's two in the morning, I'm probably not too good a judge of whether it's any good this time around, but I kind of like it right now in my sleep-deprived state.
Oh, and be warned: PG-13 for sexual content and one or two swearwords.( DollCollapse )
Secondly, Bad Habits
. (I'm so thinking up the titles as I type this.) This one's based off "Little Devotional
" and also resembles something I tried to write a few times last year. Once again I don't use any names, but it's definitely Ginny and Draco, more so than in Doll
. You can pretend it isn't if you don't like the ship, though. As for what everybody downstairs is celebrating, well, use your imagination. Keep in mind that this is post-Hogwarts, or at least after Draco's graduated, and in the summertime.
Also PG-13 for the same reasons as previous.( Bad HabitsCollapse )
And finally, Start Over
, based off bits of "This Photograph is Proof (I Know You Know)
" and originally intended as a drabble. It went 73 words over, though. Post-Hogwarts. Implied sexuality. Approach with caution.( Start OverCollapse )
And I think I'll be writing another little D/G one-shot for "One-Eighty By Summer
" tomorrow (today, technically, since it's in the A.M.) or sometime soon.
